A group of Aboriginal Australians dominates the foreground, with tents on the far bank of the river Yarra. According to the SLV, this etching, probably based on a drawing by Robert Russell (also in the SLV: H4321), was shown in the Intercolonial Exhibition in Melbourne in 1866.
