Unidentified, present location unknown

This work formed a pair with * Summers (C.F.) Bust of a Roman Peasant (Male) {1880} Loc? [SC], by Charles Summers’ son. In the 1894 NGV catalogue, the two artists were distinguished from one another, but in NGV 1905 they were both simply listed as “C.Summers.”

In 1943, both busts were sold off, for £11 and £10 respectively, at the 1943 auction of NGV sculpture.
