* Bartolozzi [attrib] Study of Figures {1869} Loc? [DR]
Bartolozzi & Byrne after Webber Death of Captain Cook 1785 {1882} SLV [PR]

Born in Florence in about 1727 (authorities differ on this point), Bartolozzi worked initially in Venice and Rome, and then spent the bulk of his career after 1764 in London. He was a prolific print-maker, “Engraver to the King” (George III), and a founding member of the Royal Academy (1768).

Further prints by and after him were acquired for the NGV after 1904, mostly during the 1920s.
