Cocke was a pioneer of photography in Britain, producing daguerrotypes from 1847, and submitting prints to the “Exhibition of Recent Specimens of Photography” in London (December 1852-January 1853), said to be the first exhibition devoted exclusively to photography. Several of his architectural plates are included in the albums listed above.
