Rousselet was a prolific engraver, especially of religious subjects, basec on Le Brun and others. Levey’s 1879 donation to the NGV included no fewer than 15 individual engravings by him (as listed above), including two sets of 4, all reproducing paintings from Louis XIV’s Tableaux du roi (for further details and references, see Levey gift, cat.1-38).
